FOOD LINK PARTNERS

In 1996, Hope-Net created its award winning Food Link program to supplement the food we provide. Businesses, schools, civic and religious organizations can become Food Link Partners by adopting a food pantry, collecting non-perishable food and delivering it to the pantry, usually on a monthly basis.

Food Link is structured around a food-of-the-month concept where employees and students are encouraged to donate specified items. Food Link Partners receive a compact disk from which they can print out colorful posters announcing the foods-of-the-month. Foods-of-the-month includes such food pantry staples as canned tuna, peanut butter, and stew.

Food Link Partners supply Hope-Net’s pantries with approximately $16,000 worth of groceries annually.

When possible, Hope-Net is grateful for monetary donations from its Food Link Partners. Because we can purchase food much more economically than food purchased from a neighborhood supermarket, these donations go a long way in providing even more food for those in need.
